Kodak Vision 3 500t (No Remjet)
The new version of vision 3 film contains no remjet layer, meaning it can be developed with any other C41 film! You no longer need to worry about which lab to drop your film off at!
The film has the exact same colours and sensitivity as the old 250d with remjet, no adjustments need to be made when shooting. The anti-halation layer has been built into the film and no longer requires an extra step in developing. It has not been removed like with Cinestill films, so there are no halations.
We still recommend ECN-2 processing, as the quality of the image will be higher than in C41. When processed in C41, expect results similar to Cinestill 800T, but without halations. For C41 processing, slight underexposure at 640 iso is recommended.
Review this film
As the last tungsten balanced film still in production, 500t is exceptionally well suited for nighttime shooting. High sensitivity, combined with high sharpness and low grain makes this film perfect for neon-lighting and indoor photography. As seen in the sample photos below, colors are rendered beautifully, with a pleasing cold color balance.
Pushable up to 4000 Iso
For sample photos such as the one below, the Film was pushed one stop, and exposed at ISO 1000.
Daylight Shooting With a Color Balancing Filter
While the cool color cast can be balanced in post, depending on your scanning method it can be somewhat tedious, and many prefer not to edit their film photos too much. An easy solution is the 85b color balancing filter, which eliminates the color cast. The photos below were taken with the color filter.
